Leaked specs of the 5D MK4

Canon 5D Mark IV Prototype are under test phase, the leaked specification below is is of a 5D Mark IV Prototype camera, actually at this moment we even don’t know that how many test bodies are out in the wild..

The specification leaked over is same as of Canon 1DX camera, in addition the 5D Mark IV will also record 4K videos, the upcoming camera name is till not final yet, it may be also called Canon 5D X.


Als dit werkelijkheid wordt, en zeker als het Dynamisch Bereik ook nog eens echt goed is, dan komt dit toch dicht in de buurt van de ideale camera.
Ben heel benieuwd wat zo'n camera gaat kosten, en waarom de specs zo dicht bij de 1D zitten.
18 MP lijkt wat weinig, maar anders zul je de ISO 204,800 niet halen lijkt me zo.

op de een of andere manier geloof ik niet dat het ding maar 18 MP heeft en zeker al geen 12FPS , daar is het ding helemaal niet voor bedoelt .

Gewoon nog even afwachten, het is nog even gissen.
Ik wacht nog even om de 5DIII te kopen.

Dat was ook mijn eerste gedachte, Boko... In elk geval wat betreft die 18mp, dat is minder dan de 5DIII nu heeft en dat kan ik me eigenlijk niet voorstellen.
Wachten zou ik er niet op gaan doen eerlijk gezegd. De rumors verwachten hem op zijn vroegst ook pas in augustus (en verkrijgbaarheid is dan nog later)

Er staat toch duidelijk dat ze hier niet met een prototype maar met een test-camera bezig zijn. Dus daar kan ik niet veel waarde aan hechten.
We’re told the following specifications are for a camera that may turn out to be the EOS 5D Mark IV, but for the moment it is just a test camera that may never get to market in this form. We’re expecting a replacement to the EOS 5D Mark III some time in the final quarter of 2015.

It was stressed that the above is NOT the EOS-1D X Mark II. There will be a quantum leap in fps, dynamic range and a bump in resolution for that camera. We’re told that there’s a possibility that a replacement to the EOS 5D Mark III could be called the EOS 5D X, but no final decision has been made on that.

I stress again that this is a reported test camera that may never come to market, and it is unknown how old this test camera is.
